Patrons Celebrate 3rd Annual Schlow Cone Day
Schlow Memorial Library and Ben & Jerry’s hosted the 3nd annual Schlow Cone Day on Friday, June 27, 2003 from noon -6 p.m. To everyone's pleasant surprise, it was the first Schlow Cone day in which it did not rain!
Patrons who checked out books from the library on Schlow Cone day received a coupon for a free ice cream cone, redeemable outside of the library at the Ben & Jerry’s cart. This year, circulation desk staff gave out more than 800 ice cream coupons.
Last year, more than 200 cones were dished out in the first two hours and approximately 80 gallons of ice cream were consumed.
