Opening Day - October 3, 2005
Schlow Memorial Library shut down Feb. 2, 2004 leaving its home at 100 East Beaver
Avenue in order to move to a temporary location - 118 South Fraser Street -
former home of the State College Borough municipal building. The new library
will be built on Beaver and Allen on a larger piece of land. The Schlow Centre
Region Library opened its doors on Oct. 3, 2005. The new library - more than
twice the size of the original library - was a much anticipated project.
