The Mission of Schlow Centre Region Library:
- Schlow Centre Region Library opens doors for members of our diverse community to gather, share, and discover a wealth of ideas, the joy of reading, and the power of information by providing services and resources in a welcoming, convenient and responsive manner.
Schlow Centre Region Library's Vision:
- Schlow Centre Region Library will be our community's best and most sought after gathering place where all are welcome to pursue their interests, learn new skills, express their creativity, interact with other members of the community, and enhance their quality of life.

Exceptions are 3-Day DVDs, newspapers, referenceQuestions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics. These materials usually have an overnight loan period so they are available in the library most of the time. books, and audiovisual equipment. Overdue Fines are:
$0.25 a day for Adult Department Materials
$0.15 a day for Children's Department Materials
$1.00 a day for 3-Day DVDs and Reference Books
$2.00 a day for audiovisual equipment$0.50 a day for Interlibrary Loan Items

For your convenience, Schlow Centre Region Library has Remote Book Return locations throughout the Centre Region, including at Nittany Mall.
All Schlow Library materials may be returned to Remote Book Returns. Materials from Centre County Library, including all branches and the Bookmobile, are also welcome. Exception: items that do not fit in the Book Return openings must be returned directly to the library.
