more infoHave you noticed some new additions to our catalog? When you find a book, more recommended titles pop up underneath the book information. Try some of these titles to find new authors! If you want to keep reading that same author, look to the left of the screen to see the series list. This appears for books in a series and shows the titles in the correct order. It is the quickest way to see what the next book is and whether we own it. If we don't, you still have the interlibrary loan option to try to borrow it from another library.
more infoYou can now download ebooks from our Overdrive media portal (as well as audiobooks.) They will work on Sony e-readers, Barnes and Noble Nooks, or your computer. They will not work on Amazon's Kindle. Our brand new ebook collection has some of the most popular books currently at Schlow Library like The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Kisser by Stuart Woods, The Postmistress by Sarah Blake, Food Rules by Michael Pollan, Game Change by John Heilemann, as well as many other selections.
more infoThe Nittany Valley Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America are sponsoring Teresa Wentzler presenting Design in Embroidery on September 11, 2010 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in the Downsbrough Community Room. The program is free but pre-registration is required and is limited to 30 registrants. You will receive a specially-designed kit to get you started. Familes welcome!

Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics.
