Kids will have the chance to guess the movements in Carnival of the Animals based on Joe's lively illustrations. You will be mesmerized as Joe demonstrates the creative process in rhythm to the music. In this workshop, we will exploe the world of fairies in Children's Literature...and them you will create your own! Choose a fairy from a collection of fairy and elf characters, then color it, attach wings and accessories, and make a 3-D collage of your secret world using found objects from nature. If you would like to add a personalized natural element, bring something special for your magical world!more info
Free Your Creative nature with an afternoon of Nature Art! Choose one or all of the following:
Gyotaku: Youngsters will take home a baeutiful cloth print of a native Pennsylvanain fish using this ancient Japanese art form. Young writers may enjoy adding a haiku poem about a fish.
Stone, Shell, or Bone Painting: Let imagination transform stones from the river, bleached bones from the land, and shells from the sea into faces, places, and whatever you see!
COME JOIN THE FUN...let's get into our right minds as we explore floating fog and mineral paints, make Bernoulli Balls and much more! Explore your logical and intellectual left brain and your creatiev and artistic right brain with exciting hands-on experiments! Every class ends with an amazing take-home art project.more info
