    Have you always wanted to learn French or German, but have not had the time to take a class? Schlow can help you! Join Karen as she introduces you to Transparent Languages and over 100 other foreign languages! This group will be meeting in the Musser room. If you have any questions or to register please contact the referenceQuestions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics.   • World Stories Alive!

    World Stories Alive: Tales in Many Tongues! Experience stories, songs & art in 11 languages, and participate in an art activity after story time! Fun for speakers of all lanugages, including English.

     

    SATURDAYS 11 AM

    JANUARY 12: CHINESE

     

    Appropriate for children ages 3-8 and their families. No registration necessary.

  • Language online

    We will be upgrading from Mango to Byki for learning languages online starting in January 2011. If you are currently taking a Mango course, please finish it, if possible, because they will no longer be available after December 31, 2010.

    Byki is a new online learning system from Recorded Books based on the Transparent Language series. The number of languages available will increase from 8 to 80.
