Summer Reading 2010
Hey Summer Readers! All tweens/teens who participated in our summer reading program are invited to attend the scavenger hunt/pizza party! More activities! Door prizes will be awarded!
Please note time change from original flyer! Sorry for any inconvenience.
Registration is appreciated (to know how many pizzas). Thank you.
Come One, Come All!
Stop by Rita's Ice on Wednesday, August 11th and 20% of your purchases will be given to Schlow Library! The folks at Rita's saw our budget cuts and decided to do what they could to help us. There will be "celebrity" book characters in the area after our Read It, Watch It presentation of "The Sand Lot" at the State Theater. Come on over & meet some of your most beloved characters, have a yummy ice AND help your library all at one stop. Can you beat that? Nope, I didn't think so.
There is still time to register for the adult summer reading program and enter to win a Sony eReader. Register online at schlowlibrary.org and log your books to be entered in the virtual (online) prize drawing on August 26th. There are still several more prize drawings before August 26th for t-shirts, books, and bags so log your books soon!more info
Take the plunge and challenge yourself to a treasure hunt! Pick up your Summer Reading Program Guide in the Children's Department (ages 3-12), read a book from each of the listed categories and cross it off your treasure map! Come into the library to chart your way across our window and win a treasure...X marks the spot!
