  • Rave Party!

    Inviting all Tween & Teen Summer Readers to the end of summer Rave Party!  

     Schedule:  

    4pm -- Play Xbox Kinect or make art project, chat with friends

    5pm --Pizza arrives!  play more, work on art project,  chat with friends

    6pm --End of Party 

     

     

    Make an art project, chat with friends, the Kinect will be set up! Plus enjoy pizza and drinks!  Plus a few door prizes!

  • Schlow's Adult Summer Reading program encourages you to get in bed with some good books this summer. 

    Registration will begin June 1st from Schlow's website. Log the books you read and you will be entered into weekly prize drawings.

    The grand prize is a Kindle Fire eReader (subject to change if a cooler eReader is released!)

    Other prizes include Schlow Library mugs, gift certificates from local restaurants, round trip tickets to a destination of your choice from Megabus and a night's stay plus breakfast at the Carnegie Inn!

  • Get ready to read! The Summer Reading Programs are beginning at Schlow Library. All of the programs have a night theme this year. The children's theme is "Dream Big, Read." You may now register for the children's program from Schlow's website. The young adult program's theme is "Own the Night" and the adult program is "Between the Covers." Registration for the adult and teen programs will begin June 1. Check our website for the summer reading link to sign up, log your books, and become eligible to win fantastic prizes. We'll also be having great programs all summer long.

  • Own The Night @ Schlow Library!

    The 2012 Tween/Teen Summer Reading program will open registration beginning on Friday June 1st!

    This year's theme for you is Own The Night, so you may look forward to solving a murder mystery, learning about the mars landing, and a Rave party in August! 

     

    Prizes are randomly drawn on a weekly basis. To enter, record each book into the system--the more books you read, the greater your chances of winning a prize!

    Join us for our annual Family Fun Fair on Saturday, June 2 from 11 AM to 2 PM and sign up for our ONLINE Summer Reading Program, Dream Big! Read @ Your Library! Registration for the Summer Reading Program starts May 15, and can be accessed through our website or in the Children's Department at Schlow.

    Explore! Jupiter's Family Secrets will acquaint you with Jupiter and NASA's upcoming Juno mission! 

    The activities showcase how the Juno mission will unveil Jupiter's deepest secrets, including clues about how our solar system formed and Jupiter's unique traits!

    All ages welcome.  FREE public event!  No registration necessary.
