  • Jin Men Flowerpot by Karen Serago
    Karen Serago received her Bachelors of Arts from Penn State University and holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Ohio State. Ms. Serago spent nearly a decade living in Taiwan and returns regularly to see family, visit familiar places, eat, and photograph. She is the author of "My other neighborhood" published by Ben Yu in 1997.

Our juror, Professor of Art from University of Delaware, Martha Carothers will announce the award winners at the opening reception, July 7th from 7 to 8 pm.

  • Sharkey Example Photograph

    Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, John Sharkey traveled a great deal with his family. He believes that this travel was "Instrumental in developing [his] desire to record and interpret what [he] saw and experienced" and he "Came to realize that we can all look at the same scene but see entirely different things..." Mr. Sharkey works with traditional film and prints on fiber based papers "For a superior and permanent image."

There are many different books available for your perusal. collection and try out a nook, Kindle and Sony eReader.

    Week 2 - September 28 - LISTEN - Learn about Schlow's downloadable audiobooks and the devices that play them.

    Week 3 - October 5 - EXPLORE - Watch demonstrations of an iPhone and Droid. Bring your own phone and questions.

    Week4 - October 12 - INTERACT - Learn more about Skype and Google Chat. Try it out!

Please register by calling the referenceQuestions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics.
