A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf.
In the book, Woolf discusses why it is that men, and not women, have always had power, wealth, and fame.
She suggests two keys to freedom: fixed income and ones own room.

The Bloomsbury group, of which Virginia Woolf was a member, were artists, writers, economists, and art critics who met for intellectual discussion in the Bloomsbury area of London in the early 20th century.
