How do I Donate Items to the Library?

We will accept materials that are in excellent condition.

Books—published within the past 10 years

Magazines—published within the last year

Audiobooks (CD and cassette) —published within the past 3 years

Videos/DVDs—published within the last year

Music CDs—no limit—must be in good condition (no scratching/skipping)

Encyclopedias—published within the past 5  years

Text books—published within the past 5  years

Additional materials will be judged on a case-by-case basis. 

All donated itemsBooks, audiovisual materials, periodicals. will become property of Schlow Library. Donated items may be added to the collection, sold to benefit the library, or given to another library or organization. You will not be notified of the final decision unless you specifically requestWhen the item you want is checked out to someone else you may request that it be held for you when it is returned. Requests can be made for any item in our catalog including new releases and items on order. You will receive notification via e-mail (or telephone) when your hold is available for pick up. Your request will be honored in the order it is received. this when you donate the items. 

If you have more that two boxes of books, please take them to the AAUW bookdrop at 2100 East College Ave. We receive designated funds from their book sale and they are better equipped to deal with large numbers of books.
