National Library Week Web Scavenger Hunt, Day 5
For National Library Week, April 10-16, we are highlighting different resources that are available to you through Schlow with a scavenger hunt for information on our website. Send your answer to the daily question to email@example.com to be entered into a prize drawing each day. At the end of the week all entrants will be entered into a prize drawing for a Nook eReader. Thursday's question: Which NextReads book recommendation email newsletter featured books written by celebrities in the March edition? Having trouble finding the answer? Stop by the Adult Department ReferenceQuestions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics. These materials usually have an overnight loan period so they are available in the library most of the time. Desk, call (814-235-7816) or chat with us online and we will help you get the answer to any of the questions.
Wednesday's question: What is happening at Schlow Library on Tuesday, May 3?
Answer: The Children's Department is featuring a "Flying Birds" No School Day Craft. To find out what is happening any day at Schlow go to our Calendar. It's the third link under the bar that says "Schlow" on the left column of our website.
We're also having a paper scavenger hunt in the Adult Department all week long. Pick up a paper entry form at the Reference Desk to participate.
