National Library Week Web Scavenger Hunt, Day 6

For National Library Week, April 10-16, we are highlighting different resources that are available to you through Schlow with a scavenger hunt for information on our website. Send your answer to the daily question to refdesk@schlowlibrary.org to be entered into a prize drawing each day. At the end of the week all entrants will be entered into a prize drawing for a Nook eReader. Friday's question: Try out our online chat referenceQuestions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics. Thursday's question: Which NextReads book recommendation email newsletter featured books written by celebrities in the March edition? 

Answer: Fiction A-Z. (Other answers were also accepted.) NextReads newsletters provide monthly emailed book recommendations in over 20 different reading interest categories. Back issues are archived on our website so, for example, you can search for "NextReads Romance" to view all of the past romance books that have been recommended. We also create an Adult Department Events newsletter so that you can find out about all the exciting events that will be happening each month at Schlow Library.        

We're also having a paper scavenger hunt in the Adult Department all week long. Pick up a paper entry form at the Reference Desk to participate.
