Penn State University Libraries' Patent and Trademark Depository Librarian John Meier will present a workshop for local inventors, entrepreneurs, and history buffs to be held at the Schlow Centre Region Library, Community Room, first floor, on October 20 from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

The program will begin with background and historical information on
patents, including unique and odd inventions like the device that shares
its title with the program. The second portion of the program will
explain how to patent an invention and what resources are available at
Penn State University Libraries for students, staff, and faculty as well
as the general public.

The program is free and open to the public, and feel free to bring a
lunch. Drinks and cookies will be provided, and there will be drawings
for door prizes. For more information, please contact John Meier at
meier@psu.edu or 867-1448. Or register online at the "Sign up" tab above.
