Fall Food Wellness Series starts Sept. 30

BeWell Associates and Schlow Library are partnering again to offer information sessions on food and wellness issues. All sessions will be on Sundays from 2:00 - 3:30 PM in the Musser Room at Schlow.

The first session on September 30 will look at food labels, how to read them and what they mean. The sessions in October will include:

Gluten-free for a Healthier Me ~ Sunday, October 7th, 2:00-3:30
Learn the ins and outs of a gluten-free diet, including tasty alternatives to gluten favorites.  Lots of great recipes to help you replace the gluten grains with interesting alternatives will also be discussed.

Nutrition from Newborn to Toddler ~ Sunday, October 14th 2:00-3:30
Learn how to meet your baby's nutritional needs during the first year. Topics include breastfeeding, starting solids, and developing healthy eating habits into toddlerhood.

Preserving Foods for Health ~ Sunday, October 21st, 2:00-3:30
Learn to preserve fruits and vegetables for your health and your bank account... and help save the world to boot. This lively presentation explores the reasons people preserve produce, examines several of the most popular methods of preserving, and reveals advantages and disadvantages of each.

Meal Planning and Recipe Exchange ~ Sunday, October 28th, 2:00-3:30
Learn about protein, carbs, and fat and how to incorporate them into one easy meal. This will be an interactive class, so please bring your recipes to share!!

All sessions are free and open to the public.
