Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics. This class will introduce the Value Line Report. The Summary and Index (Part I) and Selection and Opinion (Part II) sections will be described briefly. The class will concentrate on the Ratings and Reports Section (Part III) of the Value Line Report. The timeliness, safety, and technical ranks of a company relative to the Value Line universe of companies will be explained; the past and forecast of a company's key financial data will be reviewed; and the company's ratings in financial strength, stock price stability, stock price growth persistence, and earnings predictability will be described. Finally, the analyst's commentary and business sections found in Part III will be described.
