Did you know that 90% of a child’s brain development happens by age 5? You can make an important impact on the life of a child simply by spending time with them and interacting with them in constructive ways.

During this workshop participants will:

  • Learn the latest information about a child’s early brain development.
  • Realize the power YOU have to transform a child’s brain through play. Learn simple techniques to encourage learning and ways to incorporate book activities. Find out how these activities can actually change brain growth.
  • Discuss/examine a variety of toys that encourage learning.
  • Develop teaching materials in a make-it take-it format for classroom use.

This training will fulfill 2 hours of the Department of Public Welfare training requirements and meet the Core Body of Knowledge K2 C2 11 and the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standard 15.1: Constructing Knowledge and 15.3: Applying Knowledge.

$10.00 materials fee payable at time of registration.
