How to Avoid Library Fines for the "Finetastic"
OK, if you REALLY don't want to pay more library fines extended usage fees (see my last posting) I have a couple quick hints for you all to avoid them. Since I know we have an incredibly diverse group of library patrons, I'll try to address as many different ways as I can.
- Only take out the number of books you reasonably can read between check out and when you return to Schlow (I know there are a ton of books that look great - I often find myself reading 2 at a time) If you see a book that looks good to you, make note of it and start a list.
- Speaking of lists... get yourself a small notebook and carry it with you. When you hear from someone about the best book they ever read, write it down. It's always handy to have a mini-notepad for other reasons as well (grocery lists, e-mail addresses, phone numbers) , but this will help you narrow down your choices and keep track of other ideas you may have for future books.read more
