Schlow librarians are now online when we are open to answer your chat questions. Click on the Ask a Librarian link on the left side of our web page or click here.All questions will go first to one of the Schlow staff. If we are busy or already helping someone, a librarian from another Pennsylvania library may pick up. They can often answer your question - if not, they will send it back to us.To ensure that we can get back to you with an answer, please leave your emaill address whenever possible. We eventually see all of the questions and can respond later if we have contact information.

As always, you can call the referenceQuestions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics.
