Poetry Writing Workshop

"Writing is both mask and unveiling." ~ E.B. White In this workshop we will discuss the source of poems and the tools and devices of form. We will discuss the ways we each write poetry and what our poems can be. The workshop participants will write a new poem each week. We will discuss each others' poems. We will listen to and discuss recordings of oral poetry by famous poets. Participants will read and discuss the work of poets outside the workshop. Previous writing experience is helpful but isn't mandatory.
