Demolition of Library Building at Beaver and Allen
Schlow Centre Region Library shut down Feb. 2, leaving its home at 100 East Beaver
Avenue in order to move to a temporary location - 118 South Fraser Street -
former home of the State College Borough municipal building. The new library
will be built on Beaver and Allen on a larger piece of land. The anticipated
date for completion and move-in is mid 2005.

The library moved into the post office building in 1967. |

Needing more space, an addition was built in 1986. |
