New Books and Buried Treasures - Exciting New Email Service Brings

College, Pa. — Schlow Centre Region Library has announced the introduction of a
new email book newsletter service, called NextReads. No library card is
necessary—just an email address—for library Web site visitors and patrons to
subscribe to any of the 20 different subject and genre newsletters.
Descriptive book lists on topics ranging from biography and memoir to armchair travel, are sent on a monthly or every other month basis, and include up to 15 titles. Subscribers can link directly to the library catalog from books of interest on the lists, and place a request for a title immediately. Even those library patrons without email addresses can take advantage of the lists by viewing them online, either at the library or from any Internet access point.
“We see the introduction of the NextReads service as an important part of our outreach to the community," said Library Director Elizabeth Allen. "We will be able to better serve our many avid library patrons by highlighting new and interesting books, even before they step foot in the library."
Available newsletters: Armchair Travel, Audiobooks, Biography and Memoir, Business and Personal Finance, Christian Fiction, Fantasy, Fiction A to Z, Historical Fiction, History and Current Events, Home, Garden and DIY, Horror, Mind and Body Fitness, Mystery, Nature and Science, Popular Culture, Romance, Science Fiction, Spirituality and Religion, Thrillers and Suspense and Young Adult Books.
