For National Library Week, April 10-16, we are highlighting different resources that are available to you through Schlow with a scavenger hunt for information on our website. Send your answer to the daily question to refdesk@schlowlibrary.org [2] to be entered into a prize drawing each day. At the end of the week all entrants will be entered into a prize drawing for a Nook eReader. Saturday's question: What was the date of the most recent Consumer Reports article that reviewed toothbrushes? (Did you know that you can get full text Consumer Reports articles online through our Magazines Online database [3]A subscription to a (password protected) website full of information. ?) Having trouble finding the answer? Stop by the Adult Department Reference [4]Questions that you ask of library staff that require knowledge of the content of the collection or other resources such as those on the web. Sometimes you are referred to the answer, hence Reference. Reference can also refer to our reference materials that are often encyclopedic books that have many volumes and a concentrated number of facts and/or statistics. These materials usually have an overnight loan period so they are available in the library most of the time. Desk, call (814-235-7816) or chat with us online and we will help you get the answer to any of the questions.
We're also having a paper scavenger hunt in the Adult Department all week long. Pick up a paper entry form at the Reference Desk to participate.
