Summer Readers Make Their Own Books

Adults and teens enjoyed an evening together when they participated in Make Your Own Book, one of the many summer reading programs associated with Schlow Library's Summer Reading "clubs". The event was held in the Downsbrough Community Room.

Materials and guide books were provided, but attendees brought the energy and creativity.

Summer reading, which is supported by the Friends of Schlow Centre Region Library, runs through August. For more information on summer reading activities for all patrons, click here.

There were a lot of materials to choose from - and plenty of colors to go around.

Some people found it easier to work on their book while standing.

Sometimes sitting helps to get the creative juices flowing.

Glue works best when it is on a brush and not your clothes.
