The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program will once again be offering Free Tax Help at Schlow Library for low-to-moderate income individuals and families.

Beginning February 4, noon to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays, until April 12. In the Musser Room.

Excavators by Jean Eick. Abdo and Daugherts, 1995. Gives information about this machine by listing its working parts, describing its cab, and explaining how it is used throughout the world and how it is constructed.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Follows the progress of a hungry little caterpillar as he eats his way through a varied and very large quantity of food until, full at last, he forms a cocoon around himself and goes to sleep and wakes up a butterfly.

The Color Box by Dayle Ann Dodds. Little, Brown and Company. 1992. Alexander the monkey finds an ordinary-looking box with spots of color inside, through which he journeys to many bright landscapes of different colors. Each page has a hole revealing the next color he will find.

The Three Little Rigs by David Gordon. HarperCollins, 2005. Three little rigs look for help when the big, bad wrecking ball comes to destroy their garages.

Curious George’s Dinosaur Discovery by Catherine Hapka. Houghton Mifflin Company, 2006. Curious George and the man in the yellow hat help some scientists dig for dinosaur bones.
