Log into My Account and get a PIN number?

To access your account online, you will need a library card and PIN number.

If you do not know your PIN, you can get your PIN number by calling the circulationChecking items out and counting the number of checkouts. desk during business hours - (814) 235-7815 - or dropping by the front desk on your next visit to the library.

If you know your PIN, but wish to change it, you can do so on the "Profile" sub-tab of "My Account".

Having trouble checking on your account? Don't panic! You just need to come in and get a new library card and PIN number. If you don't know your PIN number, just call us and we'll be happy to help you!

We are turning a page on the history of libraries in Centre County by joining our catalog with that of the Centre County Library. Each library will remain its own entity, but we are now sharing resources across the county.

Every library card holder in Centre County will need to exchange their old card for a new federation card. This can be done very easily at the circulation desk as you enter the library.

What does this mean for you?

You can place holds on items from public libraries in Bellefonte, Centre Hall, Aaronsburg, Philipsburg, and, of course State College. In the past these items would need to be placed on Interlibrary Loan, which can take some time to process.
Items from the above locations will be delivered to the library you specify.
You can pay your fines at any public library location.
You can return your items to any public library in the county.
Our catalog is now expanded to include all items available here and at the Centre County Library locations.

Reserve Library Items Online?

If the item you want is checked out or on order (found under Copy/Holding information) you may request it and you will be put on a waiting list for the book. As soon as the book becomes available for you to check out, you will be contacted via e-mail or postal mail to come and pick it up. We will hold the book for one week. If you do not pick it up within that time, the hold will be removed and the book will be put back on the shelf or held for the next person in line.

To Place a Hold:

Click on the My Account button in the upper left corner of the website.
Enter your library card number (the 14 digit number beneath the barcode) to access your account.
Select the Search option - choose the item you wish to check out..
Above the Copy/Holding Information You will see a clickable box marked Request Item. Once you click it, a "request confirmation" screen will appear. This screen will show you your place in line, how you will be notified that the hold is available, where you can pick up the item and how long the hold will be in effect (usually 6 months from the date you place the hold).
If all information is correct, click the Request button and the request will be made.

Renew Library Items Online?

Click on the My Account button in the upper left corner of the website.
Enter your library card number (the 14 digit number beneath the barcode) & PIN# (If you do not know it, call the circulationChecking items out and counting the number of checkouts. desk--# below).
Select the ItemsBooks, audiovisual materials, periodicals. Out/Renew option.
Select the item you want to renew and click the Renew option.
Please make sure that the due date changes--if it does not, contact the Circulation Desk (235-7815).
