Tax help continues MWF until Monday, April 16

Help with Federal, Pennsylvania State, Tax and Rent Rebates and Local taxes every Monday and Wednesday from 12noon - 4 PM and every Friday from 10 AM - 2 PM in the Musser Room at Schlow Library. from February 6 through April 16. Call Centre County RSVP at 814-355-6816 for more information or to make an appointment. For taxpayers with low- and middle-income, with special attention to those age 60 and older.

Please bring the following with you:

-Proof of identification

-Birth dates for you, your spouse and dependents

-Bank routing numbers and account numbers for Direct Deposit

-current year's tax forms

-copy of last year's tax return(s)

-W-2 forms

-unemployment compensation statements

-SSA-1099 form if you received Social Security

-all 1099 forms

-all forms indicating federal income tax paid

-dependent care provider information (name, employer, ID, SSN)

-all receipts or canceled checks if itemizing deductions

-Social Security cards or other official documentation for yourself and all dependents.

-To file taxes electronically on a married-filing-joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms.

Tax news: A new IRS tax help kiosk is available at the Willowbank Building in Bellefonte. The State College IRS office has closed.

College and Halfmoon Townships and the Borough of State College all have the same online link. Through a new cooperative effort, State College Borough will be processing all of their forms.
