more infoHave you heard of our local First Thursdays? These monthly celebrations of the arts in downtown State College and on the Penn State campus follow a pattern adopted in a number of cities across America to devote one day a month to the arts. Our First Thursdays were started three years ago by the Friends of Schlow Library Board! Katie O'Toole, program chair of the Friends of Schlow Library, brought together representatives of downtown businesses and Penn State and communty arts groups to create First Thursday State College.
more infoThe library volunteers were recognized in April at a special brunch hosted by the Friends of Schlow Library. Seventy people attended the event, including the Friends board members, Library board members, Library staff, volunteers, Distinguished Friends, and Special Friends members.
