Business Planning - The Lean Canvas

August 19 2021

5:30pm to 7:30pm

A Central PA SCORE Seminar with Bob Griffin

There are two major methods for creating a business plan.  One method is compiling the traditional written document that many consider a typical business plan.  The second method is to employ the modern method of the “Lean Canvas”.  Many entrepreneurs today are excited about working with the “Lean Canvas” method of planning.

The Lean Canvas is an adaptation of a tool called the Business Model Canvas developed by Alexander Osterwalder.  A variant of the Business Canvas, the Lean Canvas proposed by Ash Maurya, envisions an actionable and entrepreneur-focused business plan that is limited to the essentials. The Lean Canvas focuses on problems, solutions, key metrics, costs and revenues

This class will show you the steps of the Lean Canvas and lead you in a discussion of the process.  You will have the opportunity to create your own Lean Canvas.

Presented by SCORE Mentor and Business School teacher, Bob Griffin.
