An Evening with Bryan Stevenson at Penn State

7:00pm to 8:30pm

The Rock Ethics Institute's 2019 Richard D. Lippin Lecture in Ethics

The Rock Ethics Institute's 2019 Richard D. Lippin Lecture in Ethics, in partnership with the Student Programming Association Distinguished Speaker Series, will feature award-winning author and lawyer Bryan Stevenson on March 20, 2019, in Penn State’s Eisenhower Auditorium. Stevenson is author of the New York Times bestseller Just Mercy, founder of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), and one of the leading voices for civil rights and criminal justice reform in America today. His lecture will explore what justice demands, both inside and outside the courtroom, and the need to address the legacy of racial violence and oppression in the U.S. Following his lecture there will be a book signing.

The event will be free and open to the public, but a ticket will be required to attend. Tickets will become available in the spring semester at Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre, or Bryce Jordan Center.

Tickets for PSU students will be available on Monday, February 25; and for the general public on Monday, March 4.

This event is sponsored by the Penn State Rock Ethics Institute, Student Programming Association, World Campus, McCourtney Institute for Democracy, and Center for Character, Conscience, and Public Purpose.
