  • September 16 - Teaching Children to Respect Differences
    Anita Ditz, Head of Children's Services at Schlow Library joins us to discuss ways to help children satisfy curiosity about the ways people can be different and foster dignity and respect. Children's literature that helps teach will be featured. 
     
  • September 23 - Positive Discipline Refresher
    Guiding children to make good choices requires skill. What worked well six months ago may require some fine-tuning. Join us to refresh your skills and share ideas with others. 
     
  • September 30 - Media-Wise Parenting
    Sarah H. Kollat, Ph.D., developmental psychologist and PSU HDFS senior instructor will join us to discuss the challenges of managing screen time, video games, and related issues in an increasingly online world.
     
  • October 14 - Stressed to Chill
    All about family stress - Join us to discuss myths and truths about stress, and to share ideas to help manage it.
     
  • October 21 - Sex-Wise Parenting
    We will refer to the book, The Parent's Guide to Talking About Sex by Janet Rosenzweig, Ph.D., in a discussion about how to raise sexually safe, smart, and healthy children.
