Chemical Contaminants in our Environment

Schlow Library is excited to host Science Café for the entire Spring semester!

February's topic is Chemical Contaminants in our Environment with Alison Franklin (Soil Science) & Michael Shreve (Envir. Engineering

Alison is studying the occurrence of antibiotics, antibiotic resistant bacteria and toxicological effects in impacted soil and water systems. Michael works on the use of fungi as biocatalysts for the removal of trace organic contaminants from wastewater.

The Science Café initiative began in 2014 to engage the broader community in discussions on ecological topics and to provide graduate students with an opportunity to broaden outreach and communication skills. This event is free and open to the public.
