An Exhibition of Textile Art

Embroidered Flower by EGA Member

by The Nittany Valley Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America

What is more traditional or beautiful than fine needlework? This art form takes time, dedication, and patience to produce amazingly intricate designs. Look closely and you will find that no two are exactly alike, no matter if the pattern is the same. Schlow is pleased to present various works on linen and cotton by the members of the Nittany Valley Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America (EGA). The exhibition will hang from March 1st to 31st in the Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery.

The guild is actively seeking new members, both experienced and inexperienced stitchers. This is a perfect opportunity to learn not only the fine art of cross-stitch, but embroidery as well.

Interested in fiber arts? Find their next meeting on Facebook or find the Schlow Stitchers in the Library from 5:30-7:30pm, on the second and fourth Thursday of the month.

Like the Library, the exhibition is free and open to the public.
