Works in Mixed Media

Don't miss the work of local artist Dotty Ford on display throughout February.

After retiring as an art teacher from the State College Area School District in 2005, Ford began to pursue various art media as the artist, rather than the teacher. Her interests are mainly in watercolor, collage, assemblage, drawing and needle felting. In addition to art making, she also enjoys learning about and sharing the works of fine artists as a docent at the Palmer Museum of Art.

For the last four years, Ford has acted as curator for the Bellefonte Art Museum’s holiday show and sale. She is also the co-chair for “Speaking of Art,” an interest group of 50+ members with the Penn State University Women’s Club.
