Have a budding author in your family?

Teaching a group of students who would be overjoyed to see one of their books on the library shelves?

Centre County children in grades 1 through 6 are invited to enter our Write and Illustrate Your Own Book Contest! Winners will be chosen from 4 categories, and their books will become a permanent part of the Children’s Department collection.

You may submit your entry between Monday, January 4, 2021 and Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

  • Double-check your entry for all of the necessary items listed in the Rules booklet below, then hand it off to a Schlow staff member during one of the following times:
    • Mondays and Wednesdays, 9am-6:45pm
    • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4pm-6:45pm
    • Fridays, 9am-4:45pm
    • Saturdays, 9am-12:45pm
      • If there is no staff member outside when you arrive, ring the doorbell next to the front door.

A complete list of rules and tips can be found below. All winners will be notified by letter in April 2021.
