BookFest PA celebrates its 10th anniversary! Our annual festival is going virtual with three full days for our diehard genre fiction fans. To help us celebrate, we welcome back special guest, Lisa Scottoline! Lisa will join us Friday at 8pm with her daughter and debut novelist, Francesca Serritella

Don't miss additional talks from over 15 authors and artists who work for large publishing houses, as well as independents who designed their own path. Children's books, novels, webcomics, and graphic novels are all represented.

Please register in advance for any events. Those who register will be sent a zoom link prior to the event.


Virtual Storytime - 10am

Children’s Author Book Talk- 4pm

Listen to our children's authors each present a short book talk about their most recent works. Authors specialize in picture books, board books, and chapter books. With special guest host Jennifer Black from Usborne Publishing.

Adult Authors Book Talk - 4pm 

Listen to our adult authors each present a short book talk about their most recent works. Genres include fantasy, YA, romance, and thrillers! With special guest host, local author, Cate Fricke.

Drink & Draw - 8pm 

Settle in for an hour of drawing, creativity, and camaraderie with Pennsylvania comic book artists Kara Ballenger, Robert Hack, Jason Lenox, areyoshi, and Chris Ring. With experience working for large companies and on their own projects, these creators will be on hand to answer questions. Pick their brains on topics such as kickstarters, commissions, and more. Grab your favorite beverage, sketchbook, and pencils. No fancy tools required! With special guest host, Joe Figured, from Isle of Comics.

Costume Contest w/ Setsucon -Submit photos by July 8 

Show off your creative flair in the first ever BookFest PA Online Costume Contest, sponsored by Setsucon. Let's celebrate our favorite fandoms by showing off costumes of the characters we love. Lisa Scottoline & Francesca Serritella - 7pm 

Lisa Scottoline returns (virtually) to State College in honor of the 10th anniversary of BookFest PA. She brings with her, her daughter and debut novelist, Francesca Serritella. Mother and daughter will discuss writing, relationships, and their newest books, Someone Knows, and Ghosts of Harvard

Moderated by Katie O'Toole, lecturer with the Penn State University Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications.
