Submit An Application for BookFestPA 2021

It is BookFestPA time again and we can't wait to celebrate a crowd favorite - genre fiction and comics!  Our annual festival continues with Comics to Cozies, an event for our diehard genre fiction fans! We invite you to discover locally produced mystery, romance, science fiction, fantasy, comics, graphic novels, children's fiction, and more. 

As with the 2020 festival, BookFestPA will be held virtually on July 7-9, 2021, with some events being held in Schlow Library's Virtual Community Room.   

Authors, illustrators, and vendors are encouraged to apply now. 

• Twenty authors/illustrators will be accepted this year.
• Accepted applicants will be expected to provide a 5-minute pre-recorded video (a reading, presentation about the work(s), etc.) which will be posted on bookfestpa.schlowlibrary.org and shared via social media. 
• A dedicated professional website is required.  Social media pages will not be counted as such.
• There will be no application or technology fee this year.
• Applicants must be living in Pennsylvania or surrounding states (OH, WV, MD, NY, or NJ). 
• We will be curating exhibitors to represent all of the desired categories.  The application does not guarantee acceptance.
• Applications are due by March 31st, 2021.
• Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by April 30, 2021.  Again, there will be no application or technology fee this year.
