A little about Mr. Music (also known as Lenny Tepsich):

Guitar in one hand and his audience in the other, Lenny Tepsich greets children and they light up with anticipation.  When he leaves, they never forget having met Mr. Music.   He motivates kids with simple songs sung by children for generations as well as original tunes he writes just for them.  In 1988, his daughter’s kindergarten class nicknamed him Mr. Music (they couldn’t say Mr. Tepsich) and it stuck!

For over 30 years he’s been a featured performer at Hershey Park. He has performed at the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Institute, Honolulu Academy of the Arts, and festivals, schools, and libraries throughout the United States.

When Lenny is not performing, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He looks forward to singing for the “next generation” and continuing his unending devotion to his love of music and children.

Comics to Cozies

Since its founding in 2009, BookFest PA has grown into an important community event that celebrates the art of the book.

In 2015 event organizers wanted to experiment with harnessing the power and excitement of a particular fan base and celebrate the often-overlooked comic book. For the last two years we have enjoyed a wonderful miniature comic book convention.

While we love comics and feel a uniting theme is important to our event, State College now has Nittany Con so we know comics are getting the attention they deserve.  We also  want to include more local authors and invite back some popular local talent. For these reasons we are expanding our experiment to try a different theme-- genre fiction books. We know our community is full of diehard genre fiction fans! We invite you to celebrate mystery, romance, science fiction, fantasy,  comics, graphic novels, children's fiction, and more.

We look forward to celebrating everything from comics to cozies with you on July 15th, 2017!

A full list of authors and complete event information can be found here
