Celebrate the first official Teens Create exhibition with Schlow! From starkly unaltered close-ups to carefully edited digital photography, the images highlight the creativity of our local artists.
A selection of photographs by local teens will hang in the new Teens Create space on the 2nd floor throughout the month of November. All images were taken by students from the State College Area High School and chosen for the State College Photo Club's 2nd Annual State College Photo Club Youth Showcase Winners. These photos were also submitted to the national Photographic Society of America (PSA) Youth Showcase. Five of the twelve winners’ photos were accepted by PSA, including one that received an award.
The State College Photo Club thanks Ms. Danielle Crowe, Art Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, State College Area School District, for her involvement in encouraging her students to participate in the State College Photo Club Youth Showcase. They are also grateful to Mr. John McQueary of State College Framing Company for his support for framing the high school photos. The framed photos will be given to the participating students after the exhibition. Schlow Library thanks the Centre Foundation's Centre-PACT grant committee for making the new gallery space possible.
