• Today we'll be making: Hovercrafts with KidTech! The first hovercraft was built in 1917, using air pressure to lift a boat hull above water. Hovercrafts are also sometimes called "ground-effect machines" or "air-cushion" boats. Today, hovercrafts are used as high-speed ferries to transport passengers. For the STEM activity on Nov. 25, you'll assemble a simple hovercraft and you can run experiments on how added weight and different surfaces affect performance. Plus, you get to keep your Hovercraft!
