Land of Fire and Ice: An Environmental Reflection by Danyelle Woodring

This month, The Allen Gallery features photography Danyel Woodring.

Woodring's work is a study of environments. "Iceland’s unique and rugged landscapes tell a story of resilience. It’s contrasting environment ranges from volcanic activity to icy glaciers creating awe inspiring views. It reminds us of nature’s ability to regenerate amidst destruction. I invite you to find beauty and calm emerging from chaos, where tension and harmony coexist. I hope my images evoke a sense of wonder and respect for our planet. I love the outdoors and nature photography. You can find me hiking off the beaten path with my camera on any given day. I also have a passion for documentary photography and have captured sensitive topics such as environmental concerns, homelessness, poverty, aging, illness, and equality for LGBTQIA+ communities."

Visitors interested in purchasing prints should contact the artist via email (danyel.woodring@gmail.com).

The artist will host a reception on Friday, November 14, from 3:00pm – 5:30pm in the Gallery.
