Meetings are hybrid: simultaneously in person and online. In-person attendance doesn't require registration. For virtual attendance, registration is required.

Enjoy needle arts like knitting, crochet, and embroidery? Join our in-person Needlework Club to spend time with others who enjoy these creative pastimes. The drop-in group welcomes all skills levels. Just grab your project bag and head to Schlow!

Each month, we select a book to read and meet on the third Tuesday of the month to discuss our thoughts.

The author will be speaking at the Nittany Valley Writers Network meeting on February 10, 2026.

With mentorship from members and alumni of the Penn State Esports Club, teens can experience what it is like to be part of a supportive gaming community featuring casual and competitive play while gaining valuable teamwork and collaborative skills. PA CareerLink's mobile center, The Link, will visit Schlow Centre Region Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month. This career center on wheels, the first of its kind in Pennsylvania, will be parked outside Schlow.

Please join Community Diversity Group (CDG) and Schlow Library volunteers for opportunities to practice your English and get to know your local community.

Join us for a Baby Sensory Crawl Playdate at Schlow! Babies ages 0-14 months and their caregivers are encouraged to crawl and explore a variety of textures on a large mat designed and constructed by a local quilting group. The mat is specifically geared to stimulate your baby’s senses and cognitive skills such as object permanence, spatial awareness, and problem solving. Other special activities can be explored throughout the room as well!

Come to Schlow on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays (schedule permitting: any date changes will be noted on each event) to join people of all ages in these classic games of strategy and patience. This event is in partnership with Happy Valley Go Club, an official chapter of the AGA (American Go Association). 

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.

All skill levels are welcome!
