BookFestPA returns this summer! Authors, illustrators, and vendor applications are now being accepted.
We can't wait to celebrate crowd favorites, including genre fiction and comics! We invite you to discover locally produced mystery, romance, science fiction, fantasy, comics, graphic novels, children's fiction, and more.
BookFestPA will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 10am - 4pm on the Schlow Library grounds.
In order to accommodate authors, illustrators, and the public, please note the following changes.
- 20 authors/illustrators will be accepted this year. Genre representation will be curated to offer a broad visitor experience.
- In order to allow for more authors and creators, please plan to supply your own table (6' or 8'), chair(s), and pop-up tent (roughly 10'x10').
- Staff/volunteers will be available to watch tents for 10-15 min. breaks, though will not be permitted to perform sales.
- Snacks, drinks, and lunch will not be provided.
- A dedicated professional website is required. Social media pages will not be counted as such.
- Priority will be given to the authors/illustrators in the Centre County area and the surrounding counties.
- Priority will be given to authors and creators whose works have accumulated a number of positive reviews.
- Cost: $60 per space.
Important Dates:
- Applications will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, March 24, 2023. This application does not guarantee acceptance.
- Applicants will be notified by Friday, March 31, 2023.
- Accepted applicants must pay by 5pm, on Friday, April 14, 2023. Any unpaid spaces will be offered to the remaining applicants.
