Parking in Schlow Library's lot is free for Schlow's patrons while they are in the Library.

To make our lot available to as many patrons as possible, we offer free parking with in-library ticket validation:

• Enter parking lot from Allen St. and stop before the gate
• Press the button for a ticket
• Bring ticket with you into the Library
• Scan ticket once at the validation station in the main lobby immediately before leaving
• Scan validated ticket at the exit gate to depart from lot

Parking guidelines:

 

Parking is limited and not guaranteed, especially during busy times. During library hours, the Schlow Lot is intended for library visitor use. 

Mon-Wed 9am-8pm
Thurs 12pm-8pm
Fri 9am-6pm
Sat 9am-5pm
Sun (Sept-Jun) 1pm-5pm

The underground garage is only for library visitors as that area must be gated shut when the library closes for building security. Any vehicles left in the garage at closing will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Library visitors can park in Schlow’s Lot for free ONLY if they are in the library the whole time they are in Schlow’s lot. After validating their ticket, they have 30 minutes to leave the lot.

Patrons who visit the library but also want to go shopping or eat downtown should leave the lot when they leave the library to keep spots open for library patrons.

Anyone who does park and goes elsewhere must pay at the exit and cannot validate their ticket in the library to get free parking. The library lot is more expensive than the parking garages downtown.

Anyone that validates their ticket when they were not in the library the whole time is exploiting the free parking. Repeated violators will be towed at their expense.
