Original music, magic, puppets, and live friendly animals fill up the pet store in this interactive show for kids.
Come to Schlow on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays (schedule permitting: any date changes will be noted on each event) to join people of all ages in these classic games of strategy and patience. This event is in partnership with Happy Valley Go Club, an official chapter of the AGA (American Go Association).
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.
All skill levels are welcome!
Meetings will be held in the Downsbrough Community Room, unless otherwise noted.
Join the club where comic enthusiasts discuss, draw, write, and collaborate! Whether you want to chat about who was the best comic book villain, geek out about the newest episode of the Death Note adaptation, or share your excitement about your first read through of Demon Slayer, Comics Club is for you.
Meetings are hybrid: simultaneously in person and online. In-person attendance doesn't require registration. For virtual attendance, registration is required.
Cryptids are the colorful creatures of our imagination. This summer, Schlow and Centre Region Parks and Recreation are working together to host a special scavenger hunt across the region’s parks. The self-guided search includes 10 different parks with hidden cryptids. When you find one of the creatures, visit Schlow’s Summer Reading website (reading.schlowlibrary.org)and enter the code found with each hidden cryptid. Teens and adults will receive prize entries for each one found.
Enjoy needle arts like knitting, crochet, and embroidery? Join our in-person Needlework Club to spend time with others who enjoy these creative pastimes. The drop-in group welcomes all skills levels. Just grab your project bag and head to Schlow!

Operate on a giant gummy bear! Explore gummy bear anatomy while using critical thinking and scientific inquiry skills. Participants may even get to uncover a medical mystery!
Nerf? In the LIBRARY?! Why not!
Schlow’s summer Nerf events are too fun to be missed. From humans-versus-zombies to multi-stage space battles, we’ll have a variety of games at our Nerf Nights. Bring your friends and your Nerf weaponry (unmodified, dart-ammo only, please). For grades 5-12, registration required.
