Get a library card

Online Library Card Account Creation: All Centre County residents, permanent and temporary, are eligible (13 years of age or older). 

  • Click on the Log In button to the right of the Search Bar and choose Create New Account
  • Enter your information in all fields.
  • Check the boxes to confirm that you are a resident of Centre County and 13 years of age or older.
  • A temporary library card number will be issued to you so that you can immediately access online resources via schlowlibrary.org. The temporary number will expire in 30 days.
  • Choose to have your permanent library card mailed to you in 7-10 business days or to pick it up in-person at Schlow Centre Region Library.
    • In-person pickup: Present a photo I.D. to pick up your card. Youth may be accompanied by a parent/guardian who presents photo I.D. 
    • Mail option: You can check out materials at Schlow Centre Region Library once your account information has been confirmed by showing photo I.D. at the Main Service Desk. 

In-person Library Card Account Creation: All Pennsylvania residents, permanent and temporary, are eligible.

  • Create a new account in person at Schlow Centre Region Library's Main Service Desk.
  • Children under the age of 12 may get a library card when accompanied by a parent/guardian who signs the application and presents a photo I.D.  
  • Children age 12 and over who do not have their own Photo I.D. may get a library card if accompanied by a parent/guardian who presents I.D.
