Keep Calm & Read On!

As we look back on 2019, we are also in the midst of challenging times. We want to highlight this special message from Cathi Alloway, Director of Schlow Centre Region Library:

This report of Schlow Library’s 2019 achievements is coming your way in a period of uncertainty and anxiety, as our nation grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report is full of good news, including this reassurance that we are here to assist you in these difficult days. Although our building is currently closed to the public, employees are working to keep people connected and informed. For example, new digital content is being loaded daily on our website, and we have turned our parking lot into a Wi-Fi hotspot so people can access the internet fromtheir vehicles. No fines will be charged on items currently checked out. Updates on our services can be found at, as we expect changes to continue for the foreseeable future.

Books, music and movies have great power - to instruct, distract, comfort and uplift us in challenging times. Your use and support of Schlow Centre Region Library will help us adapt to your needs in the days ahead. Thank you and stay well.

We hope you will enjoy the statistics and a recap of the exciting things that happened at Schlow Library during 2019.

We want to extend a special thank you to our donors, volunteers, and all supporters who give so much of their time and financial support to make Schlow Library a vital part of the community.
