Reduce, Reuse, Remake

Reduce Reuse Remake Image

A multi-district student art exhibition

How do we live with plastic and yet try to live without it?

Reduce, Reuse, Remake once again examines how students from the area School Districts feel about plastic use in their lives. Some offer solutions to our global garbage heap and others simply make us aware of the impact plastic has on our lives. Several students celebrate the act of upcycling and bringing a new life to cast off materials. All explore the past, present, and future of our use and reuse of plastic. How do you feel about plastic in our world?  How aware are you of the global impact plastic use has on our environment? How far can you take plastic as an art form?

Reduce, Reuse, Remake, is organized thanks to the dedication of the State College, Bald Eagle and Delta middle and high school art teachers: Julia Gold, Julia Nelson, Nicole Packard, Austin Van Allen, Amy Barnhart, and Janet Riggio. The exhibition will hang in the Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery of Schlow Centre Region Library throughout May.

A closing reception will be held on Friday, May 31, from 4-5:30pm in the Downsbrough Community Room

Like the Library the exhibition is free and open to the public.
